The curriculums aim at cultivating high-level talents, who have solid knowledge on geomatics theory and professional practical skills, and can handle integrated spatial information and adapt to the needs of the economical and social developments. Concentrating on the high qualities and capabilities, the school is characterized by internationalism and creativeness. The graduates can go in for research or teaching in scientific organizations or colleges in the fields of geodesy and geomatics, or can be engaged in collecting, analyzing, adjusting spatial information and decision-making in government or related organizations.

3. Professional Features and Cultivation Requirements

The major of Geomatics Engineering concentrates on researching the theory and method of the earth's spatial information, solving all kinds of problems of Geometry, physics and humanity related to the distribution of geographical space as well as time-varying information collecting, dealing, managing, updating and using. The graduates are required to master the basic theory and key technology on geodesy, engineering surveying, satellite positioning and navigation, photogrammetry and remote sensing, cartography and GIS and digital information engineering.

Cartography, Foundation of Geodesy, Photogrammetry, Physical Geodesy, Crustal Deformation, GPS Surveying and Data Processing, Spatial Geodesy, Navigation, Engineering Geodesy, Deformation Monitoring and Data Processing, Industrial Surveying, RS Physics, Air and Space Imaging Technology, Digital Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing Image Interpretation, Urban Spatial Information, Emergency Response and Management of Urban Disaster, GIS Project and Practice, Principle of Urban Plan, Principles of Web-based Geographic Information System, Land Resources Management.

8. Graduation and Other Important Declarations

Graduation is granted when the undergraduate has got the minimum credits required and passed the thesis oral defense, also with his/her scores of English test meeting the requirement of Wuhan University. If he/she meets the requirements for the degree granting, he/she will be awarded the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering.
